Won Silver and Gold Prize in the Kyoto International Cartoon Exhibition, 2002 and 2004.Received Special Prize in the Japan Cartoonists Association Awards in 2006; won the New Face Prize in 50th Japan Journalist Congress Awards, and the New Face Prize in Art Prize of Kyoto City in 2008. Works for Housou Report .Holds a Doctor of Arts degree. In 2020, an unknown virus has cut us off from real connection with other people, and we are spending our days afraid of an infectious disease. No one could have imagined that we would be hit by a pandemic, which we believed to be a historically rare event. While interacting well with the negative emotions that spring up one after the other—the suffocation of having freedoms suppressed, loneliness, despair—I want to look straight at the reality in front of me, to also find the seeds of creative work that may have fallen there.
