70 Walking Through the Winds of Time Time, Closed Division of Liberal Arts AIZAWA Hisanori Took up a new position as head of teaching-related courses at Tokyo Polytechnic University in 2019. Since completing a graduate degree in sculpture from Tokyo University of the Arts, he has primarily created artwork using stone, and continues to present his work, mainly in solo exhibitions, but with groups as well. While working as an artist, he has gained experience as a mentor in the field of art education, and is engaged in art education guidance in a variety of educational settings, from early childhood education to elementary, junior high, and high school education, as well as expressive instruction in specialized fields. In his teaching-related courses, he provides lectures on practical work experience focusing on today’s teaching professions. These works convey the sense of presence and resistance created by stones, the changes of expression in them, and the power of them in their own form. It deals wi th the theme of the space that humans inhabi t and the f low of t ime, through the images and space developed by the forms. The works themselves are a black grani te stone, wi th the form evoking a person wi th the f low of t ime emphasized, and a marble stone wi th a simi lar theme. The strength, smooth texture, and rich expression of the stones are grasped as a f low in space. It is not only the sense of presence and strength that are born out of the stones themselves: the gent le expression of form has an important spat ial construct ion, and each viewer can feel the f low of t ime and movement in their own images evoked by the forms. the 2021 Faculty of Arts Festival FESTA-08 Artwork
